　　法尔茅斯大学学院（University College Falmouth）成立于1902年，其前身是法尔茅斯艺术学校（Falmouth School of Art）。110年间，法尔茅斯大学学院从一所学生不足200人的小型艺术学院发展成为拥有约3,600名全日制学生的跨媒体艺术大学学院，专业涵盖艺术、设计、媒体、表演和写作等领域。

　　Originally founded as Falmouth School of Art in 1902, University College Falmouth has over its 110 year history grown from a small art school of less than 200 students to a multi-arts University College with around 3,600 full time students studying art, design, media, performance and writing programmes.

　　As an ambitious and progressive specialist arts institution it takes a leading role in the national and international creative scene holding a strong and justifiable reputation for excellence in Art, Design, Media, Performance and Writing. 　　Research and Enterprise feature high on Falmouth’s agenda, supported by a recent £9m investment in the Academy for Innovation & Research (AIR) to underpin all their research activities and bring together expertise in the areas of sustainable design and the digital economy.

　　The School of Media & Performance is the largest of the two schools at Falmouth, comprising of nearly 2000 students enrolled on undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree programmes across the three departments of Media, Performance and Writing.  The Department of Media has earned a national reputation for developing creative talent across a range of media specialism. Specialist buildings housing: television and radio studios; cinema; photography studios; darkrooms; animation studios, motion capture studio and digital post production studios support the Department's commitment to professional skills acquisition set within a framework of deep intellectual and emotional understanding of media in all its forms. The Department of Media was one of the first institutions in the UK to be recognised as a UK Skillset Media Academy.
